National Dancing Association of Australasia Inc. Examinations
NDAAI is pleased to provide examinations to all centers across the Australia. Candidates as young as 4 years old are welcome to participate in these examinations.
The examinations are assessed in a systematic manner, with grades ranging from Pass , Commended, Highly Commended, Honours, to Honours Distinction.

Grade One - Flora McDonald's Fancy -Required to pass Grade 3 Highland before entering this exam.

Grade Two - Scottish Lilt - Required to pass Grade 1 SN Exam and Grade 3 Highland before entering this exam.

Grade Three - Wilt thou go to the Barracks Johnnie- Required to pass all previous SN Exams and Grade 3 Highland before entering this exam.

Grade Four - Highland Laddie - Required to pass all previous SN Exams and Grade 3 Highland before entering this exam.

Grade Five - Village Maid - Required to pass all previous SN Exams and Grade 3 Highland before entering this exam.

Grade Six - Scotch Measure - Required to pass all previous SN Exams and Elementary Highland before entering this exam.

Grade Seven - Blue Bonnets O' the Border - Required to pass all previous SN Exams and Elementary Highland before entering this exam.

JIG & HORNPIPE

Junior – Candidates who have passed Grade 3 Highland Examination are eligible to enter this examination

Intermediate - Candidates who have passed Grade 4 Highland and Junior Jig and Hornpipe Examination are eligible to enter this examination

Advanced - Candidates who have passed Elementary Highland and Junior and Intermediate Jig/Hornpipe Examinations are eligible to enter this examination

The NDAAI is deeply committed to aiding students with learning challenges and promoting equality. The Diversity in Learning Assessment provides an alternative for dancers who cannot participate in mainstream exams but still wish to engage in the examination process.
